Michael Rehm

Michael Rehm was born and raised in Sacramento, CA. He attended Christian Brothers High School and the University of the Pacific-McGeorge School of Law. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of California-San Diego. While in law school, Michael Rehm interned at the Sacramento County Public Defenders Office, regularly appearing in Sacramento County Court. After law school, Michael Rehm took both the California and New York Bar Examinations, successfully passing both exams on his first attempt. He then worked at a criminal defense firm in Sacramento, CA before opening his own office. He has handled criminal cases throughout California. He provides representation on criminal cases in both California and New York.

 

Dionne Choyce - Contract Attorney

Dionne Choyce is a contract attorney with The Law Office of Michael Rehm. Mr. Choyce met Michael Rehm in 2006, when Michael Rehm began working as an associate attorney in Mr. Choyce's law firm. Although Michael Rehm left the firm to start his own business, the two remained friends and consulted each other in regards to strategies on criminal cases. Dionne E. Choyce's courtroom development began at the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, where he helped lead the McGeorge trial competition team to a Regional Championship in the American Trial Lawyers Association Competition (ATLA).

After graduating from law school, Mr. Choyce went to work for the Alameda County District Attorney's Office (Oakland, CA), where he gained extensive courtroom experience prosecuting all phases of criminal cases, including jury trials, felony preliminary hearings, juvenile felony trials, as well as misdemeanor and felony law and motion hearings.

Mr. Choyce received his undergraduate degree in English (with honors) from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia. He then went on to receive his graduate degree from Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He earned his law degree from the University of Pacific, McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, California. Mr. Choyce is a member of the Charles Houston Bar Association, the Wiley E. Manuel Bar Association, the Sacramento Consumer Attorneys, and the Sacramento County Bar Association.

Mr. Choyce currently is in private practice and works as a contract attorney with the Law Office of Michael Rehm on criminal cases throughout California.

Derek King - Contract Attorney

Derek King is a contract attorney with The Law Office of Michael Rehm. Mr. King originally met Michael Rehm while the two attended the University of the Pacific-McGeorge School of Law. The two immediately developed a friendship and mutual respect for each other's legal ability and character. Mr. King began his legal career with the Sacramento County Public Defender's Office during law school where he represented juveniles during Sacramento County Juvenile Court detention hearings, assisted psychiatric patients placed on Conservatorship holds, and represented in-custody and out-of-custody clients during Sacramento Superior Court misdemeanor arraignments.

Mr. King later served as a Deputy District Attorney in Del Norte County where he prosecuted felony and misdemeanor juvenile cases. In addition, Mr. King has researched and prepared Federal Court civil rights memoranda for submission to the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California, and litigated construction, contract, fraud, and internet libel matters.

Mr. King is a graduate of McGeorge School of Law and has been a member of the California State Bar since 2006. He is also a proud veteran who served as a United States Army paratrooper with the Southern European Task Force, Vicenza, Italy.

Mr. King is currently in private practice and works as a contract attorney with the Law Office of Michael Rehm on criminal cases throughout California.
